Hope Rural School was founded as an independent Catholic School in the Diocese of Palm Beach in 1980. The school primarily serves children from immigrant families by providing them with a Catholic Elementary  Education in grades Pre-K through Grade 5 in an environment that nurtures the Gospel values of mercy, justice and love.  Hope Rural School is fully accredited and has never wavered from the school’s mission-to offer HOPE to families through quality education.  Our student population is 88% Mexican and Guatemalan, 10% Haitian, and 2% Caucasian.

We have been blessed with The Paul and Anne-Marie Queally Foundation which has provided grant monies to support the following programs at Hope Rural:

After School Program which is held throughout the academic year from Tuesday through Thursday in which  teachers stay for 2 hours after school and help student’s from Grades 1-Grade 5 complete their homework and  do extra reading.

Freckle Program –Freckle is an online learning platform that allows students to practice Math and English Language Arts at their own level.  Freckle continuously adapts to each student’s individual skills, so each student is getting the appropriate challenge, whether they are working at, above, or below grade level. Our students love this program and the results are exciting for the students and teachers.

Summer Enrichment Program– Students from Prek-4- Grade 5 participate in the summer enrichment program for 3 weeks. Our students love being back at school for three weeks. Reinforcement in English, Language Arts, and Math are offered besides art and other enrichment activities.

New Reading Curriculum- A new reading series from Kindergarten through Grade 5 for the 2022-2023 school year will be implemented. The new reading curriculum : “Wonders”  Wonders is an evidence –based K-5 ELA program that empowers students to take an active role in learning and exploration Students will have opportunities to express and assess themselves through reading, writing and speaking.

“The mission of Hope Rural School in Indiantown, Florida is to offer HOPE to families. Hope Rural School primarily serves children from immigrant families by providing them with a Catholic Elementary education in grades Prek3 through Grade 5 in an environment that nurtures the gospel values. Our student population is comprised of the following- 88% Guatemalan/Mexican, 10% Haitian, and 2% Caucasian.

We are grateful to the Queally Foundation Inc.  for their support of our children who attend Hope Rural Elementary School.  The Queally Foundation Inc. has generosity provided the funding for our Afterschool and Summer School programs. These programs help us prepare our children to reach their full potential because we focus especially on the academic skills of reading literacy and math.  We have witnessed a difference in academic growth in both of these areas because of the ability of our teachers to have this quality time to reinforce the skills needed for each child to reach their full potential.

The Queally Foundation Inc.  believes in our vision and mission. Their support and faith in what we do each day at Hope Rural continues to help us claim and embrace God’s mission to be our mission.  The late Archbishop of Recife, Brazil used to say, “When we dream alone, it is only a dream, when we dream with others, it is the beginning of reality.” It has been a remarkable gift to dream with the Queally Foundation Inc.”
